Boulder Arts Week Sponsorships

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Boulder Arts Week is Boulder’s only large-scale, inclusive celebration of our community’s vibrant arts and cultural offerings and our city’s thriving creativity. At the core of Boulder’s art scene are the thousands of gifted, Boulder-based musicians, painters, actors, dancers, crafters, sculptors, and artists of all kinds. In order to support and celebrate our artists and arts organizations, the City of Boulder Office of Arts and Culture offers small sponsorships to enhance their work during The Week.

Apply

Any artist or organization planning an event or activity during Boulder Arts Week 2026 (April 3–12) is invited to apply for sponsorship support.

Available funds: $11,500+

Sponsorship funds may be used to help cover the costs of any arts-related event, performance, exhibition, talk, program, or other creative activity held during the week. Examples include renting space, framing artwork, promoting your event, purchasing materials or sheet music, and hiring collaborators. Artists may include up to 20% of the award as pay for their own time.

General sponsorships: At least 18 general sponsorships of $500 each are available for projects taking place anywhere within the City of Boulder during Boulder Arts Week. Smaller funding requests are also welcome. These awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one award per individual or organization per year.

Downtown Boulder Sponsorships: Six $500 sponsorships are available for art activations taking place specifically in downtown Boulder. This funding is made possible through the Central Area General Improvement District (CAGID). Because of the unique nature of the downtown environment, applications for these sponsorships will be reviewed to ensure they are a good fit. Please note that amplified sound is not permitted on the Pearl Street pedestrian mall.

Please indicate which sponsorship(s) you are applying for in the application form.
